(WNAV) Route 665 at Chinquapin Round Road was closed for much of Wednesday morning after a BGE bucket truck overturned before 6:30.

Paramedics with Anne Arundel County transported the victim a 32-year-old man to Baltimore Shock Trauama with what are described as serious and life-threatening injuries.

The road was closed for over four hours as crews cleared the accident. Heavy equipment was called to the scene to upright the truck.

BGE said that the accident victim had been with the company for five years. The utility said that it appears that a mechanical issue caused the truck to over turn adding that they would be investigating.

Annapolis police said that it was a single vehicle accident and that the victim was the only occupant of the vehicle. The road was re-opened before 11:00 a.m.
