A barn on Guardshore Road was destroyed by fire Thursday afternoon. 911 dispatch said the fire was reported at around 3:30 pm and the structure was fully involved when firemen arrived. No other buildings were involved. Bloxom, Parksley, Tasley, Onancock and Atlantic fire companies and Oak Hall Rescue responded to the blaze. As of now there is no word on the cause of the fire.
