Antigo police say they have arrested a person of interest in the recent string of vehicle burglaries that have hit the city over the past month. The man was taken into custody on a probation hold. His name or other information has not been released. The police department stressed that the investigation continues.

Citizens are still encouraged to lock their vehicles doors, whether parked in the driveway or in their garage. Various items have been stolen including electronics, cash, and medication.

The police department announced on Friday that a $300 reward had been offered by a donor for information that led to an arrest of the perpetrator. A crimestoppers reward might also become available.
