Greensburg City Council met on Monday.

Police Chief Brendan Bridges gave the second and final reading of ordinance 2019-40: UTVs and side by sides on city streets. The registration wont start until April. The board approved the ordinance. City Clerk-Treasurer Brenda Dwenger requested approval from the board on Resolution 2020-5 to amend Clerk-Treasurer investment Resolution (2019-7). The amendment would allow for her to report to the board the investments made, where they were, and what they earned at monthly meetings rather than use the monthly meetings to ask for the approval of investments. Dwengers Deputy Clerk-Treasurer also has the power to sign off on any account or investment. Based off of Resolution 2019-16, Dwenger cannot invest more than 25%. Motion to pass resolution 2020-5 was approved.

Director of the Greensburg Adult Center, Monty Shields, came to the board with a request to upgrade internet services at the adult center. The current month to month plan of $60 is no longer offered and ETC will soon be discontinuing it. The internet is exceedingly slow. Mayor Joshua Marsh will be further investigating the available internet plans. John Dooley from the Greensburg Aviation Commission came to the board with an amendment to Salary Ordinance 2020-2 for airport salaries. At the last airport meeting they updated their salaries and wages, now they need to be put into a city ordinance. The motion to approve the first reading of ordinance 2020-2 was approved.

Police Chief Brendan Bridges came to the board again, this time requesting that the City of Greensburg be the financial holder of the Inclusion Park. This will be a project that will take a few years, the plan being to build it at Rebecca Park and tie it into the splash pad. This request was approved. The discussion of operation pullover funds will be discussed in depth at the next meeting. Clerk-Treasurer Brenda Dwenger also spoke again, requesting an amendment to Resolution 2020-6. Dwenger stated that they had been advised to update their INPRS covered employees list. The motion to pass 2020-6 and to change any elected official to any full time elected official was approved.

The next meeting will be April 6th.
