The 3rd annual Dale Lowe Memorial Tractor Pull will be held on July the 7th 7:00 PM at the Burney Indiana Volunteer Fire Department. The pull is put on by the Dale Lowe Memorial Tractor Pull Foundation which is a not for profit group that raises funds for scholarships in honor of a past Hall of Fame Tractor Puller, Dale Lowe.
Dale was a farmer, veteran, business owner, father, family man and avid and respected Hoosier State Tractor Pulling Association Hall of Famer from Greensburg. Family, friends and competitors come together every year to commemorate Dale and celebrate his passion with this pull, in which the proceeds go to a scholarship in Dales name.
The night will bring competitors from all over the Midwest competing in 3 Hoosier State Tractor Pull Association sanctioned classes. Light Limited Super Stock Tractors, Modified Tractors, and Hot Farm Tractors will be competing. Within the Hot Farm class, a special competition is held between Decatur County pullers. Dale influenced many in Decatur county to be a part of the sport. Pullers from Decatur County compete in that class known as the Decatur County Shootout.
After the HSTPA sanctioned event, 3 more classes will run, 8,000 Street Stock Diesel Trucks, 12,000 tractors 3000 RPM limit with 20.8 tires 10MPH speed limit, and same class with open speed.
A meal by the Burney Volunteer Fire Department will be available. For the latest on the event, go to Facebook for the Dale Lowe Memorial Charity Pull.
