...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 8 PM EDT
THURSDAY...

* TEMPERATURE...High temperatures will be in the lower 90s, with peak afternoon heat index values of 100 to around 105 degrees.

* IMPACTS...There will be an increased risk of heat stress and heat illness for everyone.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Heat Advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity
will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Outlook: Heat. Scattered to widely scattered thunderstorms.

Hazards: Lightning. Very heavy rain. Gusty winds. Heat exhaustion orstroke.

Timing: Mainly this afternoon and evening.

Thunderstorms caused by the heat of the day should gradually taper off by dark. Heat indices will reach the 100 to 106
range today and into the evening.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Outlook: Chance or slight chance of storms most of the time through
Friday. Slight chance of storms Monday night through Tuesday. Some
storms may produce very heavy rain. It is too early to say if any storms will be severe.

Afternoon heat indices of 100 to 105 on Thursday.

Very warm humid Gulf air will remain over Indiana until late this week. A front should bring cooler and drier air starting
Friday night. High pressure will result in dry conditions for the weekend.
