The Greensburg Board of Aviation Commissioners met Monday evening. Board Vice President Jon Dooley provided the financial report with $56,795.37 in the Airport Improvement Account, $47,064.04 in the Aviation and Rotary Fuel Account, and $132,223.04 in the Airport Operations Account for a total of $236,082.45. Mr. Dooley informed the board that he will likely meet in July with the two individuals that have shown interest in leasing the new hangars being considered by the board.
Airport manager Jerry Scheidler provided the board with bids for a new credit card reader. QT Technologies submitted a bid of $13,245 with Fuelmaster submitting a bid of $12,867. Fuelmaster's bid was only an estimate and would require a site visit before giving a final price. Mr. Scheidler pointed out that the system from QT Technologies would have the same wiring and hookups as the current system, resulting in minimal downtime. Additionally, QT Technologies would provide a rebate of $3,495 if the system is purchased before September. As a result, the board approved the bid from QT Technologies.
Board President Bill Ernstes presented a copy of the 2018 budget to assist during the development of the 2019 budget. He expects the loan from Jackson County Bank will be paid down about $41,000 in 2019. The board will hold further discussions regarding the 2019 budget during the July meeting.
Paul Shaffer from BF&S provided an update on the Environmental Document for the proposed new runway project. He stated that comments from the Legal Department at the Federal Aviation Administration were received on June 15th. The comments were reviewed and sent back to the FAA legal department on June 18th.
The board will hold its next meeting on July 23rd at 7:00 pm at Greensburg City Hall.
