6/12/2018 - Greensburg Main Street Executive Director Wendy Blake is leaving that position - Click here to print this information

The Main Street Greensburg Board of Directors are saddened to announce the resignation of our Executive Director, Wendy Blake, effective June 30, 2018. Since taking over the position in 2014, Wendy has played a critical role in the success of the organization and the development of the downtown district. It has been her hard work and dedication to Greensburg and Decatur County that sustained and made possible such projects as the Farmers Market, the Tenderloin Throwdown, the Market to Meal alleyway dinner, the Holiday Walk, the new Tree City Bark Park, and the Distinctive Places art installations that have gone up throughout downtown Greensburg. In addition to her role with Main Street Greensburg, Wendy has been an integral member of the Greensburg Stellar Communities and TREEmendous Transformation committees, which worked to develop a Strategic Investment Plan and identify projects that will continue to improve our community long into the future. We want to take this opportunity to thank Wendy for her extraordinary service over the past four years and wish her the best of luck in all her future endeavors.
In the coming weeks, we will be conducting a search to find an Interim Director for the Main Street Greensburg non-profit organization. A job description will be posted this week, and we ask our supporters to please help us identify interested, outstanding candidates for the position. The new Interim Director will have big shoes to fill, but will have the unequivocal support of an engaged and enthusiastic board. It is our intention to maintain the same level of excellence Wendy brought to the position, and continue to fulfill the mission of Main Street Greensburg in supporting downtown businesses and making the downtown district a more viable and thriving destination for both Decatur County residents and out of town visitors.
Any inquiries or resumes can be directed to the President of the Main Street Greensburg Board of Directors, Philip Deiwert, at (812) 592-7326 or pdeiwert@rivervalleyresources.com.
We hope everybody in the community will come out and join us in celebrating Wendys legacy at the fifth annual Tenderloin Throwdown on Saturday, June 23, 2018 from noon to 7 p.m. around the Decatur County Courthouse Square as vendors from all over the state compete for the title of Best Pork Tenderloin Sandwich in Indiana!
