Christian Rust has set his sites on Washington Township Trustee, first seeking the republican nomination in yesterday's primary which he won over incumbent Jim Stuart by a vote of 1214 to 818. Currently there is no democrat opponent.

As for Washington Township Board, there are three seats and four candidates for the republican nod. Edward Dwenger was the top vote with 1385. James Stewart had 1220. Leon Johnson had 1079. Gregory Clapp 719.

In House District 55 Cindy Ziemke is the incumbent. She was challenged by Mark Bacon. The district wide vote in that race was 4073 for Ziemke and 3002 for Bacon.

In the 6th Congressional District Seat Greg Pence got the republican nomination over four other candidates and Jeannine Lee Lake the democrat nomination. That race had a local candidate - Jim Pruett who came in second to Lake - Lake had 8787 votes and Pruett 5781. There were four other candidates on the democrat ticket.
