5/7/2018 - Greensburg Police Department offers Free Bike Registry - Click here to print this information

From the Greensburg Police Department Facebook Page

Bicycles, like any other items of value, can be a target of theft. Thieves often target bikes because they are valuable, portable and often very easy to steal. However, there are some easy and relatively inexpensive things you can do to deter a thief and help getting your bike back if it is stolen.

The Greensburg Police Department is now offering free bike registry during regular business hours Monday-Friday 8a-4p. A bike registry form will be available along with information on where to locate the serial number on the bike. Once the form is turned back in, the Greensburg Police Department will enter the information into the database.

The Greensburg Police Department Bike Registry Form will also be available during safety fairs and many other events that Greensburg Officers are involved with. By participating in this program officers will have a better way of identifying if your bike is stolen.

If you cannot make it to the Greensburg Police Department you can email bbridges@greensburg.in.gov. A form will be emailed and can be sent back via email.
