The Greensburg Redevelopment Commission met Thursday evening. City Engineer Ron May provided an update on the project status for Phase II of Veterans Way and Lincoln Street. Seven parcels have been identified as needed for right-of-way acquisition for Veterans Way. Four have been appraised and the other 3 are in process. Offer letters are expected to be sent out in January. Designers continue to work on the road plan and utility relocation plans. Bid letting is expected to take place in November or December of 2018, with construction starting in spring 2019 and completion by the end of 2019. Mr. May stated that the topographic survey is complete for the Lincoln Street project and is still working on the surface model. The property boundary survey and utility relocation plans are underway. A signed contract for the Lincoln Street project must be sent to INDOT by April 15th.

The commission approved paying a claim to American Structurepoint for about $326. Payment for the bond with Mainsource for $244,828.24 is due on January 15th. Since the due date is prior to the next meeting, David Weigel was granted approval to sign on behalf of the commission.

The RDC will hold its next meeting on January 18th, 2018 at 6:30 pm at Greensburg City Hall.
