11/14/2017 - Greensburg man faces multiple drug charges

From the Greensburg Police Department:
On 11/11/2017, officers from the Greensburg Police Department received an anonymous tip of possible drug usage or related activity coming from inside an apartment located at 301 S. Broadway Street.
Officers Devin Moore, Bryan Katterhenry, and Stephen Hershberger responded to the address to assess the complaint. Upon entering the common area of the building, officers could smell the strong odor of burnt marijuana.
Officers knocked on the door to the apartment in question and spoke with the only occupant Darian M. Shaver, 23 of Greensburg. During an on-scene investigation, officers located:
-Approximately 6.475 ounces of raw plant marijuana, most divided among 33 individual baggies.
-Approximately 7.8 grams of marijuana wax, commonly referred to as "dabs."
-Seven 1 mg Xanax pills.
-One strip of paper which field tested positive for the presence of LSD.
-Numerous other items of drug-related paraphernalia.
-Articles relating to the sale and distribution of illegal drugs.
Darian M. Shaver faces the preliminary charges of:
-Maintaining Common Nuisance
-Dealing in Marijuana
-Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance
-Possession of Schedule IV Controlled Substance
-Possession of Marijuana
-Possession of Paraphernalia
Darian Shaver was held at the Decatur County Jail.

Under the Law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
