Sewage and waste water treatment superintendent Jeff Smith received approval to spend approximately $6,200 on new belts for the departments belt press. Mr. Smith requested, and received approval for, payment of about $122,600 payable to Strand and Associates for costs of mobilization, bonds, field offices, and construction engineering. He received approval to dispose of a 1980 Rodder truck since the department received its replacement. Training on the new equipment is ongoing.

Street Superintendent Mark Klosterkemper began his briefing by recognizing Robert Veerkamp who recently retired after over 27 years of service to the city. The truck will be custom built on a Freightliner chassis and is expected to be delivered by October.
