5/17/2017 - Greensburg Board of Zoning Appeals Meeting - Click here to print this information

The Greensburg Board of Zoning Appeals met Tuesday evening. The board considered a request for a permanent variance for Greensburg Wesleyan Church.

The variance involved the construction of an accessory building with an area up to 2,500 square feet, which is in excess of the 720 square feet maximum area permitted by the City of Greensburg Code of Ordinance.

The proposed structure would serve as a storage building on a 5 acre site owned by the church and would meet all setbacks as required by city ordinance.

City Engineer Ron May entered an email into the record from an owner of an adjoining property who stated he had no objection to the variance. Another owner of an adjoining property also stated he had no objection to the variance. The board unanimously approved the request.

City Engineer Ron May informed the board of the public hearing for the proposed Veterans Way Phase II project on May 23rd at 6:30 pm in the City Hall Gym. The board will hold its next meeting on June 20th at 7:00 pm at Greensburg City Hall.
