More Information A Greensburg man faces allegations of possession of a narcotic drug and possession of a syringe, both level 6 felonies and possession of marijuana, a level B misdemeanor. 24-year old Alexander Hornsby was picked up on a warrant and was originally charged in Decatur County Circuit Court on March 2nd. According to court documents, a Greensburg Police Department officer was dispatched to North Broadway Street in reference to a medical issue involving drugs. Upon entering the residence, EMS and police officers observed the suspect sitting on the floor and appearing to be unconscious. One of the officers conducted a protective sweep and located a spoon with a white residue. Once the suspect regained consciousness, he allegedly stated that he had recently snorted and smoked heroin. According to the police report, the officer asked if the suspect had any other drugs. The suspect stated that he did and offered to show the officer. The officer seized a book with a cut out and three syringes, a dollar bill containing a substance believed to be heroin, a baggie containing marijuana, and a spoon with white residue. The white residue and substance in the dollar bill both field tested positive for heroin. The suspect was transported to Decatur County Memorial Hospital for medical treatment.
