(Queen Anne's County, MD) WNAV -- A string of burglaries in two counties on the Eastern Shore may have come to an end.

The Queen Anne's County Sheriff announced the arrest of a suspect, presumed to be the culprit in burglaries in Queen Anne's and Talbot counties.

Officials say the burglaries started in November of last year. Phillip Kirwin III is named as the suspect and hes now being held in Talbot County's Detention Center.

In some incidents, officials say Kirwin entered homes while the residents were asleep and stole money from purses and wallets. At one home on First Street in Queen Anne, he was allegedly a repeat visitor, stealing on multiple occasions.

A joint investigation with the both law enforcement agencies led officers to Kirwin. He is 28-years-old and is facing multiple counts for burglaries, thefts and rogue and vagabond.
