3/5/2018 - POWER outages and Restoration Efforts - Click here to print this information

(Annapolis, MD) WNAV -- In extreme cases, it may be midweek before the power is restored.

Some residents in our area are still without their power after high winds caused dangerous conditions, knocked down trees and disrupted electricity transmission Friday and Saturday.

BGE officials say extra crews have been coming to the region to assist with efforts to restore power.

Officials say restoration efforts have been
hampered because of the long duration of the high winds. Workers were prohibited from getting in the bucket to be able to work.

BGE officials said today that more than 435,000 outages were reported. Wind gusts reached over 70 miles per hour in parts of the state and shut down the Bay Bridge and other suspended bridges throughout the day Friday.
