(WNAV) -- Theres been another successful airlift rescue from a shipping vessel in the Chesapeake Bay. Around 2 a.m. Wednesday, the calls came for medical personnel to help a 39-year-old man on a vessel north of the Bay Bridge, enroute to the Port of Baltimore.

The Aviation Command rescue technician was lowered to the ships deck to assist with patient stabilization. The rescue technician was hoisted back to the aircraft with the patient.

The man was medevaced to Anne Arundel Medical Center. His condition is unclear today. The ship he was on, the Salome, has a Singapore flag.
