Annapolis, MD (The Capital/WNAV) -- The mural on the Tsunami restaurant on West Street stays. It has been retroactively approved by the Historic Preservation Commission in a vote last night.
The Capital reports the controversial and colorful mural unveiled in 2015 was commissioned without the prior approval of the HPC. The restaurant is owned by Democratic candidate for Annapolis
mayor, Gavin Buckley. He challenged the City
on whether the Historic Preservation Commission in Annapolis had authority over the artwork.
