(Grasonville, MD) WNAV -- A Queen Annes county woman is facing attempted murder charges, assault and reckless endangerment. The Sheriffs Office says that her victim, 44-year-old Darnell Tomilson, is recovering at Shock Trauma after being stabbed multiple times. The suspect is identified as 29-year-old Sharlene Copes of Grasonville.

Officials say the victims neighbor got help for him from emergency personnel who were at a training session at Grasonville Elementary school Sunday evening.

The victim had gone to his neighbor for help after being stabbed. The neighbor put him in his car and then saw the first responders at the school, asked for help and they took the patient to Shock Trauma.

Officials say the assault followed a domestic dispute.

At last report, Mr. Tomilson is listed in stable condition. Ms. Copes is being held without bond. Officials say the assault happened at the Fisher Manor apartments in Grasonville.
