Deale, MD) WNAV -- Maryland Natural Resources Police worked for two hours to free two bucks who were stuck in the mud in south county.
The call came Saturday morning, about 11 a.m. from a contractor cutting grass in south county. Two deer were stuck in mud up to their necks in a boggy area in Deale. The field is near the intersection of Muddy Creek Road and Sudley Road. Two officers used boards to make their way over the mud to each deer. Officials say the young bucks were exhausted and frightened. The officers used tow ropes from a patrol boat and an ATV to pull them out. After two and a half hours, the deer were freed and ran off into the woods.
