Stanlee was brought to us as a stray about 3 weeks ago. Hes a cute, small Terrier mix about 1.5 years. (see on Click on Adoptable Pets. Stanlee has now been neutered and tests HW negative. We have had a Veterinarian evaluate the lump on his R-rear hip (making him hobble around on 3 legs). It appears that Stanlee has had an accident in which his proximal hip ball is separated from his femur (basically a break in the leg near the hip). The injury is estimated to be about 1 month old. Stanlee will have exploratory surgery on Thursday (9-18-14) to assess and repair the damage which is now complicated by scar-tissue-development around the break. His estimated Vet bill will be in the neighborhood of $800. If you can help with Stanlees surgical bill, please send a donation to us at Pet Partners, PO Box 2746, Lenoir NC 28645. Mark your check for Stanlee. We appreciate your concern for him. If youd like to adopt Stanlee following his recovery, please contact us at 828-394-7490. Thank you. The PPN RESCUE TEAM

FOUND: A dog was found on Saturday, August 30, on the Grandin Road near Hwy 268. He is VERY cute, a Jack Russel/ Fiest type. They do not know where he came from, but he has very clean teeth and seems to be crate trained or house trained. He was frightened of them at first, but he came to trust them very quickly. He is a very sweet boy and needs a good home. They have already taken in 4 stray dogs this summer as people have thrown their animals out near their home. They are at our breaking point now with vet bills. Please help them to find a home for this very loving little dog. Or if you know who he might belong too, let us know ASAP.
