3/16/2017 - Antigo Schools Panel Ponders Schools Consolidations - Click here to print this information

A plan to consolidate elementary schools may be moving forward in Antigo. Tuesday night, a school board panel reviewed comments made at four forums and then submitted a recommendation for the board to possibly vote on the move at a meeting on March 28th. The proposal would transfer eighth grade students to the high school, fourth and fifth graders to Middle School, and all four-year-old kindergarten through grade three students would be housed at East, West and North elementary schools. It would not require a referendum or any extensive building project, say supporters.
