Some students in Antigo are now helping to raise Brook Trout. The program is in partnership with Trout Unlimited, which has the organization footing the bill for about $1500 in equipment for the project. Biology and Wildlife Management Teacher Mike Werdeo is quoted in the Antigo Daily Journal as saying that his students will gain valuable experience studying the life cycles of the fish. The project is also designed to teach the students an appreciation for water resources. Meanwhile, the Antigo Chapter of Trout Unlimited will hols its 35th annual fundraiser banquet coming up on March 25th at Northstar Lanes. For tickets, call Scott Hendricks at 715-623-3867.
