5/3/2018 - CHP Arrest Man After Receiving Reports of Rocks Thrown onto SR-36 - Click here to print this information

On May 1, 2018 at approximately 2040 hours, Lassen County Dispatch and CHP Dispatch received multiple calls of people throwing rocks at vehicles on SR-36 in the vicinity of Pigeon Cliff.

CHP met with one of the victims that sustained damage to the roof of their vehicle.

CHP observed multiple rocks in the roadway ranging from the size of an egg to the size of a softball.

CHP, Lassen County Sherriffs, and Susanville PD attempted to locate the subject that had thrown the rocks.

At approximately 2105 hours, a Lassen County Sherriff deputy located two males walking southbound on North Pine Street at the intersection of North Street.

One male was 20 years old and the other was 12 years old.

CHP arrived on scene and interviewed the two males. Both males eventually admitted to throwing rocks at vehicles.

The 20 year old male also admitted that he had furnished marijuana to the 12 year old boy.

The 20 year old male, Jakoby Robberson, was booked into the Lassen County Jail for throwing an object at a moving vehicle with intent to injureFelony, Furnishing marijuana to a person under the age of 14-Misdemeanor, and Giving false information to a CHP Officer-Misdemeanor.

The 12 year old boy was issued a citation the violation and released to his mother.
