At last report, the Poslin Fire was about 829 acres and was approximately 50% contained

The fire is burning in mostly brush & scattered timber and moving up the east side of Adams Peak away from CA Hwy 395.

Firefighters have cold-trailed (fire line is cold to the touch) the majority of the perimeter and the eastern portion of the fire is contained.

Resources are focused on the northwestern corner where the fire has been burning in a pocket of timber.

Early on Monday, aircraft (air tankers, super scoopers and the sky crane) helped to strengthen the lines on the uphill edge of the fire.

Engines and crews will remain on the the fire to patrol and mop-up as needed.

There are no road closures or evacuations.

The fire was started by lightning.
