8/4/2017 - Susanville City Council Discusses Multiple Topics - Click here to print this information

During the Susanville City Council meeting, the Council was asked to approve numerous topics.

First, the Council was asked to allow the Lassen Historical Society to utilize the use of 19 North Weatherlow.

The space is vacant, and the Historical Society has a need for storage of surplus items and artifacts that are not currently displayed at the museum.

The items are usually stored at the Pratt Building, which is in need of repairs to the structure and roof.

For security reasons and to avoid damage to the artifacts in the interim, the Historical Society wishes to use the office space at North Weatherlow for storage purposes.

The Council unanimously approved the request.

Also during the meeting, the Council was asked to waive the usage fees for the Diamond Mountain Golf Course Club House on August 19th for the Susanville Basque Clubs Picon Open Golf tournament.

The tournament raises college scholarship money for graduating high school seniors.

The Council unanimously approved the waiving of the usage fees.

Finally, during the meeting, the Council was asked to waive the usage fees for the Diamond Mountain Golf Course Restaurant Facility on August 4-6th for the Diamond Mountain Mens Golf Club tournament.

Proceeds from the tournament help to fund scholarships for Lassen High School graduating seniors.

The Council unanimously approved the waiving of the usage fees.
