Click here to print this information
The Chester Public Utility District, along with PG&E, are starting a program to improve public lighting in Chester.
PG&E will be converting all of their streetlights within the city from older, high-pressure sodium vapor light bulbs to LED lamps.
The program aims to promote safety and energy efficiency in public lighting.
It will also reduce greenhouse-gas emissions, which will save CPUD in power costs.
PG&E will be notifying neighborhoods before their contractors start to replace the lamps.
