At Tuesday night's Brady City Council session, MUDualistic operator, Ben Siebert, appeared before the City Council to request a one year extension in his agreement with the City and EDC.
Siebert's presentation included a litany of complaints and allegations about problems he had encountered in dealing with the City and with local citizens that had delayed the ATV park's operation. He told the Council the park didn't have enough business yet to pay for 10 full-time employees.
A number of local residents came forward following Siebert's comments to express their support for the ATV park and for Siebert's efforts. There were also several who expressed opposition to the park and Siebert's operation of it.
A key part of the agreement with the City for the lease of the 600 acres at Brady Lake for development of the MUDualistic ATV park included a requirement that the facility have 10 full-time employees at the end of the first year. The requirement to have 10 employees was also a part of the loan agreement with the Brady Economic Development Corporation.
After meeting in an executive session with the City Attorney, Mayor Groves announced that the exisiting agreement with MUDualistic would stand.
